Dr. Christina Fox
Dr. Christina Fox grew up in the Bucyrus area. After graduating from high school, she attended Ashland University and graduated with B.S in Biology 1998. Dr. Fox then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While attending optometry school, Dr. Fox had many clinical experiences including a hospital rotation in Bethel, Alaska; a surgical and private rotation in Pennsylvania; and a pediatric and low-vision rotation in Philadelphia. She received a B.S. in Ocular Science in 1999 and a Doctorate in Optometry in 2002. After graduation, Dr. Fox returned to Bucyrus to serve the community where she grew up.
Dr. Fox opened her own private practice in 2008, She is excited to serve her patient’s visual and ocular health for years to come. She enjoys the diversity of private practice. Her optometrist interests include diabetic care, glaucoma treatment, macular degeneration prevention, and children’s vision. Dr. Fox is an InfantSee provider. Through the program, all infants under 12 months of age are eligible to have a free comprehensive eye examination. Dr. Fox also volunteers her time to give RealEyes presentations to all local school children.
Dr. Fox volunteers her time to VOSH Int’l. She has been on several mission trips over the past few years in Romania, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Tanzania, El Salvador, Mexico and Panama. She is currently the secretary of the VOSH Ohio Board of Governors and looking forward to her next trip. Dr. Fox is also an active member in the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA). In the OOA she has been a Zone governor, Lt. Zone governor, and currently serves as treasurer. She is also a member of the Bucyrus Rotary Club and Lions Club. In addition, Dr. Fox has privileges at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
In 2020, Dr. Fox was honored by her alma mater and received the Special Achievement Award from Ashland University. She was also named the Ohio Optometric Foundation Humanitarian of the Year in 2020.
In 2021, Dr. Fox was blessed to adopt her son Cole. He has been an amazing addition to the Fox family.
In her free time, Dr. Fox enjoys traveling, playing ther piano, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is a member of the Holy Trinity Church.
April Powell is a native of Bucyrus and a graduate of both Bucyrus High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School. She is a wife and mother of four and Mimi to 4 beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys watching a great series or good movie, going to the gym, and having game night with family and friends. Being office administrator and dispensing specialist she would be more than happy to assist you in choosing just the right frame and lens option from our vast and up to date selections. Korinne Cook is a native of Columbus, residing now in Galion. She graduated from Bishop Ready High School in Columbus. She and her husband have three children together, and a grand-daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and watching her daughter participate in cheerleading and band. She is also an avid movie watcher. Korinne can get you and your family scheduled for your yearly exams, and help with all your eyecare needs.
